Executive Training Program

Boscov’s Executive Training Program accelerates the career growth of carefully selected graduating seniors through a vigorous and enriching program.

Highly motivated trainees are immersed in a year-long program which focuses on developing skill sets required of our top executives including:

  • Creative problem-solving
  • Strategic thinking
  • Business analysis
  • Merchandising and management techniques
  • Building business partnerships
  • Customer service

Weekly classroom seminars compliment hands-on business experience including initial placement in either store management or buying. Responsibility early on provides trainees exposure necessary for building a strong foundation for future growth and development.

Selection Process

Boscov’s recruiting efforts begin each September at selected colleges and universities. Our activities include:

  • Career Fairs
  • Campus interviews
  • Classroom presentations
  • On-site follow up visits consisting of a December Meet & Greet and February interviews with our senior management team

By early March, we make our selections with offers extended to viable candidates.

Trainees join our company after graduation in the May-June time frame and are placed in their initial assignments.
