Merchandising - Buyers:

Our Buyers are important to the business. Buyers must be able to:

  • Analyze industry trends and consumer buying patterns
  • Build strong relationships with the vendor community
  • Search for new products and suppliers – innovation is important
  • Select products, negotiate prices, quantities and delivery
  • Listen to the customer – get feedback on what is selling and what isn’t selling

Being in the market is important whether the market is NYC, across the US or overseas. Our Buyers are always in the market making sure that we can consistently deliver our customers great quality brands at the best value. Everything our Buyers do is done with our customers in mind.

Store Management

Store Management:

Our stores range in size from 90,000 to 285,000 square feet and are spread across 6 states in the mid-Atlantic region. Every day we welcome our customer “Friends” into our stores. Our Store Managers embrace the Company’s culture of creating a fun shopping experience and providing the highest level of customer service. We refer to this as our “Circle of Service.”

Store Managers should:

  • Possess skills in merchandising and operations with a “Sales” driven mentality
  • Have the ability to lead, motivate and inspire coworkers to deliver the best shopping experience and level of service for our customers
  • Possess great interpersonal skills which are essential to interactions with customers and coworkers
  • Be a goodwill Ambassador for the Company in the communities we serve
  • Be financially accountable for the profitability of the store
